Counselling
Counselling is a safe and proven form of Therapy (also known as Psychological Therapy) that provides an opportunity to explore difficult issues and feelings and if wanted, effect change in a way that is appropriate for you.
You may be experiencing a crisis or going through a difficult time. Whatever the cause, counselling helps you to come to terms with your circumstances.
It is always you who decides what can or cannot be talked about; you will not be forced to discuss things that you are not ready to divulge, or go at a faster pace than feels safe for you.
The support I offer will enable you to deal with life’s difficulties, build your resilience and enable you to live your life more fully and purposefully.
At our first meeting, which is free of charge, we will discuss the timing and frequency of appointments that are appropriate and affordable for you. My usual fee is £40 an hour and I offer concessions to those in need.
Issues that can be explored include:
anxiety depression loss stress self-harm trauma bereavement abuse post-natal depression sexuality eating disorders living with illness/disability termination suicidal thoughts beliefs panic attacks grief fear anger contentment independence personal growth
